DocToks - NCP3 Alliance

About the Alliance with DocToks

In May 2025, the Facebook patient support group “DocToks” led by Dr Forest Tennant, and the National Campaign to Protect People in Pain agreed to form an alliance.

1. Both groups will maintain their own identity
    
2. Both groups share the same Mission and Vision related to their advocacy work
    
3. We agree to collaborate on initiatives and goals when appropriate
    
4. We agree to share email and contact lists 
    
5. We will mutually share accomplishments in Quarterly and Yearly Reports
    
6. Speakers and presentations are made available to both groups

• This alliance does not replace Dr. Tennant’s Arachnoiditis education
   
• Nor does it replace support and networking that members receive from being part of the DocTok family

Long-term vision for the Alliance

DocToks has joined with NCP3 to discredit and remove false narratives from pain management and health care and to restore the doctor-patient relationship.  In order to do this, we must be action oriented.

We must get beyond the present situation where many patients listen passively to experts conveying information….and then stop there.   It is time to move toward empowering patients to speak with their own voices in real time to decision makers from whom we will jointly demand real change. 

Preaching to the choir (other pain patients or even group leaders) doesn't change anything.
